Thankfully, rewards are only triggered in the case of actual crimes being discovered as a result of the tip rather than for the tip itself. It’s honestly a good idea, as employers illegally hiring foreign workers typically also results in them paying well under the prevailing wage for the position as well which suppresses wage growth and is bad for the economy.
