So this story I reported on is beginning to gain traction, at least in other parts of the world. Eventually the MSM will have to cover it, but they are under pressure from the administration to downplay the damage. The story posted doesn’t have much beyond my original post [„The Hidden Cost: Damage to 13 U.S. Bases in the Middle East“. : r/geopolitics](https://www.reddit.com/r/geopolitics/comments/1sa58qb/comment/odusxhn/) but it does have a few pictures documenting the damage. I will be working on a part 2 with more annotations and possible realistic cost estimates of the damage.
If the US has to evacuate ME bases because of relatively primitive Iranian missiles and drones, how would US bases in the Pacific react if war with China over Taiwan happen ?
I wonder if the Gulf states have got buyers remorse over stationing these bases. Transpires they’re no deterrent whatsoever and basically powerless to prevent the Islamic Republic from destroying them never mind the Gulf states themselves. Who knows though, maybe once all of them sign the Abraham Accords, the mighty Israel can protect them instead. Or, you know, they can train their own soldiers and protect themselves. Albeit the chance of a revolution is increased somewhat if they start conscripting the serfs.
