Any random scraps of wool around, scrunch it up, and wedge it into a bush or hedgerow out around the roads, or trees.

If you see robins landing two metres away from you, no, you are not a newly crowned Disney princess. Should be evident by the Jason Statham stare they give you. They think you owe them something, so don’t argue, give them stuff.

For any parent, that found themselves with a circular saw or jig saw from Lidl or Aldi, and some plywood around. 1 hour, you’ll have a nest box made from scratch with the kids!

There are even some bat roost designs too, and owls.

When I give the dogs a good aul‘ brush I bundle the tufts up and leave them in the hedge. The tits and sparrows love it.
