What the article fails to explain or at least provide an educated guess about is why the second largest shareholder of the company has decided to divest. I am not trying to imply that there is an issue with the company, but just adding links to random people’s tweets is rather poor journalism.

This shouldn’t shock anyone. They’ve been pushing him out for over a year now and it started when he stepped down as CEO and was given a “vanity role” on the board still. That role was just there while he was looking for his next opportunity.
My general belief is that the ROI on his acquisition just wasnt fruitful. All his key clients left than Hybe also got left with a bill for Justin’s canceled tour. His clock was ticking.
Note: I find it funny people always call Hybe a greedy ruthless corporation and then surprised they pushed out someone who wasn’t performing… you can be a terrible person in these companies, but you got to perform.
