      It’s a very diplomatic way of saying that ordinary Americans are ok…because of course ordinary americans aren’t conducting the affairs of state and at the forefront of global systems and order. The reality is that since 1979 and the takeover of the U.S Embassy in Tehran, Iran has conducted itself in animosity toward the United States with extreme fundamentalism and that long precedes the Trump administration. Countless U.S soldiers in Iraq were killed by IEDs directed by Iranian backed militia groups.

      Brilliant move. Don’t get me wrong, Iran is an evil authoritarian regime. We don’t want to see them as on „our side.“

      But its good politics. They know Trumps days are numbered. They know he’s up for a tough couple of election cycles. They’re doing everything they can to undermine him politically. This is how asymmetrical warfare is won. The dummies like Kegseth don’t understand that all the expensive bombs and tech in the world can’t win this kind of war.

      The balls on this guy to be part of the government that murdered over 30,000 Iranians and then claimed to speak for the Iranian people. He’s right that Iranians don’t hold hate for the American people, all the hate their heart is pointed towards the IRGC to the point that they’re willing to die for it.

      The saddest part is that so many American citizens (especially on Reddit) will eat this up.

      Iran has had its terror operatives arrested in the USA for scouting sites .. particularly Jewish targets.

      I’m sure the Islamic hardliners hold no enmity towards our country where women aren’t treated like livestock because their pedo prophet deems it proper. 🙄

      this is a very strange move from Iran’s perspective. a key cornerstone of their propaganda and identity is hating everything the US stands for. to effectively acknowledge the political reality and that the vast majority of US citizens have no want of or control over this war is shocking.

      As a Persian born and raised in the United States, democrat, didn’t vote for Trump – I have side eyed MANY of you sympathizing for this regime. Fuck THEM and anyone who supports them.

      I don’t like any oppressive government, Iran included. It’s possible to dislike the USA gov and the Iranian gov while understanding there are reasonable citizens in both countries.
