      It doesnt matter if Iran is Russia’s ally. Now you lost all your real allies like Spain who year after year helped you in good faith because you are too busy playing pick-me girl for US.

      You are not gonna be the deciding factor in Iran war. You are not even gonna come close. Everybody with more than 2 IQ knows it.

      Oh dear. US doesn’t _actually_ want the Straits of Hormuz open – it needs to stay closed for the Yanks to have a stranglehold on OPEC. Also, ragging on his (former?) NATO allies is something he needs to help leave NATO – henceforth to be known as Article 47.

      Like I wrote in another thread, Oman owns a lot of the territory on the other side of the Strait of Hormuz opposite Iran, including the tip at the narrowest point, and they have and probably will always stay neutral. There won’t be that equivalent component of Ukraine’s defense system.

      What weapons technology does he have that the US Navy doesn’t? You can’t “unblock” the Strait without taking the shoreline along the Strait. This is nonsense.

      So like, they’ve lost nearly 20% of their country and are accepting that they might have to make concessions to end the war… maybe not the people to tap for this? 

      We’ve have a lot of countries thinking they can fight on multiple fronts and having that actually end up stretching them too thin lately. It just feels like another mistake in the making. 

      If they can pull it off? Cool. But it seems like no one is really learning from anything and I don’t actually think involving more regions in overlapping conflicts is going to help much.

      Can any of you self proclaimed armchair generals give me the run down on how this helps Ukraines cause? What are the different angles here? At first I saw the conflict as an advantage for ukraine. And then about a week later it turned into a disadvantage in my opinion. Now I am genuinely unsure. Is this going to help them or is it going to hurt them?

      It’s a low bar, but Zelensky is on track to being the greatest statesman of his generation.

      He plays the hands Ukraine is dealt well. And they’ve been dealt some shitters.
