Vaping has been around since the 60s. Maybe not in broad use but there is actual history you could look at. Instead of staring at chicken bones trying to scry the future.

Yeah, remind me in 20 years. No one knows and anybody saying they do is lying to you with statistics.

Wake me up when someone finally does a study on dry herb vaping exclusively. Everyone should already intuitively know that these „juice“ vapes are bad for you.

  4. How about hitting dabs? Is that the same as vaping? Does it carry the same risks?

  5. Lungs should breath only good old air. You know nitrogen oxygen and trace other elements. Unless you are in an icu don’t inhale any other gasses. That’s it.

  6. The article does not go into the testing conditions. In the past, the studies quickly linking vaping to cancer due to heavy metals was due to the button being held down without airflow (taking a drag). This would cause the cotton to burn and the coils to get hotter than they typically would when utilizing the vape in the normal way.

I smoked cigarettes for almost 20 years before someone introduced me to vapes. With the vape I was able to step down my nicotine percentage and once I was at zero for a while, I was able to quit. That was 3 years ago and I don’t have any strong cravings (I unsuccessfully quit smoking many times).

I’m not saying vaping is healthy, but it’s much better than cigarettes. A big thank you my coworker who introduced me.

But how does it compare to smoking tobacco? Noone has ever claimed that it doesn’t potentially cause cancer

  8. It sounds like certain metals from coils are the problem. That’s a long way off from “vaping causes cancer”.

I mean, yeah, I won’t be the least bit surprised if this is completely true. My question would be, does it ‚likely‘ cause oral and lung cancer at the same rate smoking cigarettes does, or is it likely to cause those cancers at a lower/higher rate than cigarettes? Everything I’ve read about vaping seems to suggest that it is unequivocally bad for you (not surprising), but it is less bad for you than cigarettes.

Omg such a shocker!!! Who knew that inhaling chemicals directly into your lungs would be bad for you. But seriously this shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone.

  11. So now you’re saying we’re aerosolizing the metal heating elements? Personally I don’t think my little vape gets hot enough to evaporate metal, but I could be wrong.

I guess it’s safe to say that anything that has to be burned from the mouth in, is cancerous.
