      I don’t understand the obsession with parking posts. It’s been this way for 50 years at least and it’ll be this way for 50 more.

      I feel like most of these complaints come from foreigners used to more rigorous rules, which misses the whole cultural element to travel.

      Things are different, it works, leave it alone.

      There is not such thing as ‘illegal’ in CY. The only ‘illegal’ thing I encountered is taking care of the stray cats.

      Why not have something like „parking enforcement officers“, which would bring a lot of money to the city budget

      Honestly the drivers on the island are the absolute worst I’ve ever seen anywhere and I’ve lived a lot of places. The total lack of spatial awareness is astounding especially considering hie small most of the cars are. No signals, pulling out slowly in front of oncoming fast traffic, stopping dead to allow people to turn without realizing 1) the cars directly behind have no idea why the fuck you are stopping in a 50 or 65 zone and 2) the turning car would only need to wait for like 5 more seconds for a clear opening. It’s breathtakingly poor.
