With so many drones in the air bunker fireteams have no chance to lay a protective minefield or fire tank buster so a Leopard can just roll right up – the Russian troops are waiting to get killed.

This point in the war brings post 1914 modern war full circle to a WWI stalemate and people die until one side brakes the other financially.

I wonder why a tank was selected as the tool for destroying these positions instead of artillery or drones. This war has shown tanks to be very vulnerable on the Ukrainian battlefield, especially in this kind of close range, front line engagement. The tank would be extremely vulnerable to atgm and drone attack would it not?

Maybe this mission was so incredibly time sensitive that it had to happen N.O.W and there was no time to wait for drone or artillery fires to be redirected? Maybe this part of the front is less of a priority for both sides and is less drone saturated right now?
