Great idea klaus!
It was a scam
They built it here knowing there are no food shortages and there is a clear abundance of food choices. Everyone knew there was no demand.
They also built it here to attract gullible investors and govt subsidies to appeal to people who had money to burn and wanted to make some difference
Just call it something other than “cricket” like they did with pork(pig) and beef(cow) thousands of years ago. Separate the animal name from the food.

Funny how the yuck factor matters for crickets but the intense exploitation and death of billions of farm animals, dismembered for people to eat, is normalized.
