What is the dangerous fantasy? Increasing global supply and increasing UK tax intake sounds like a good enough readon for me

  2. The British people with zero zero benefit to this and any taxes claimed will be outweighed by tax bungs given.

    >However, experts have consistently said that North Sea production is too small to influence global prices.

Cool, so we just give the licenses out on the condition that they have to sell to the UK market only.

Needs a stipulation to keep some good percentage of the products generated in the UK, to avoid the oil companies just setting up a shell company in the UK to sell onto the global market with.

    Simples.

The amount of oil and gas will make little or no difference to the international market – and since it will be exploited by international companies, not the national government run oil company we don’t have, they will sell it on the international market saving us nothing
It will make some companies some money, and not reduce UK bills by a single penny …

  5. Its the problem with parties like modern Conservatives and basically all of Farages past parties and a little bit Greens/Lib Dems. They can peddle dangerous fantasies knowing they will never have to actually enact them as they won’t get the votes.

It’s funny that during the referendum they told us Scots that the oil was about to run out ……

    Hands off Scottish oil.
