How can Israel face a shortage of soldiers when nearly every citizen—men and women—serves and enters the reserves afterward? Either a significant number of settlers have abandoned their so-called “God-given promised” land, or this is being used as a pretext to pull American troops into a fight with Hezbollah in southern Lebanon. At this rate, it looks like the U.S. military could end up fighting—and dying—on two fronts: Iran and Lebanon.

Israel is not collapsing. The IDF general said they could lose control of the West Bank to settlers who are armed Jews on their side. So basically the West Bank would be the wild west led by settlers. He did say there is a 15k man shortage of combat troops though but Israel’s objective is likely to make Lebanon & Iran into failed states and a failed Lebanon is easy to annex etc as the population would flee.

Just some context, OP. This is not the “Chief of Staff.”

This guy is the *opposition* leader. He’s the guy from the other party.

This is like Nancy Pelosi or Hakeem Jeffries saying that Donald Trump is doing a bad job. Or it’s like Mike Johnson saying that Joe Biden is doing a bad job.

Trump just handed the Middle East oil infrastructure to China. The oil must flow and nobody else will be able to step in and build refineries and shipping infrastructure. The USA will never accept Russia there, and Iran will not accept anyone from American-aligned countries. Trump’s gambit to deny China oil has actually guaranteed that China gets more oil than ever.

    Al-Jazeera + „opposition leader“

Israel has almost as many soldiers as it has people + it relies heavily on airpower to problem-solve. You’re not going to see a collapse of anything in the IDF, and every military is allowed to face hardship without being said to be collapsing.

No one that comments on these things seem to be aware of how things work.
