> Ma repeatedly asked her whether she has personally witnessed forced labour in Xinjiang and suggested this was “hearsay,” prompting outrage from Conservatives on the committee.
That’s a weak attack. China wouldn’t let anyone witness what they do to their minorities. There are very convincing evidences (eg. Xinjiang Police Files) that would be hard to fake. They also show how hard it would be to observe as an outsider. I also expect China to deny them unequivocally. Every time they deny it, the more suspicious I become.
We don’t need a Canadian MP defending CCP’s actions. It’s gross.
Well we have had Canadian Senators do that for years
Senator Yuen Pau Woo challenges reports suggesting China targeted MPs

This talk of forced prison labour is hilarious considering we oh so happily ignore that the US is the biggest perpetrator of prison slavery worldwide.
So, when are we cutting ties with our slaving ally down south?
Our great nation’s enlightened position and beliefs on the rights of prisoners is a rarity on the world stage only shared by a few.
Unless we want to economically and diplomatically self-destruct, Canadians have got to accept pragmaticism
Someone needs to ask Sameer Zuberi what he thinks, considering he was on the human rights committee when it championed calling this a genocide, and has been one of the biggest advocates for Uyghurs in Canada.
I’ve met the guy before, he’s pretty genuine and really does care so I’m sure he’s probably **pissed** right now.
Why would an MP do this if they weren’t somehow compromised by China? Seriously, what is the political benefit that I’m not seeing? Whats happening in Xinjiang is well established
Brought to you and paid for by the Chinese Communist Party. Thanks Liberals. How is the foreign interference registry coming along?
