Good on the BC Conservatives for ejecting him.
I’m not typically one to give kudos to a right wing party but Halford did right here:

>Halford said the party took action to remove Chan immediately upon becoming aware of the charges.

Man, Winnipeg just had a city councillor arrested for drugging and raping a male. Yet, to the dismay the mayor and the rest of the council, [he showed up for work today.](https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/manitoba/russ-wyatt-sexual-assault-charge-first-council-meeting-9.7143123)
Will be interesting to see if he resigns or sticks around. There really isn’t much incentive to resign when your job prospects afterwards are rather dim if you have a criminal conviction. Similar situation as the MPP for Sault Ste Marie.
