faulty statistic with every „caucasian-mixed“ child only being added to the „non-caucasian“ parents group.

your skintone obsession is so fucking weird

The US census has used different ethnicity and racial definitions over the years. Hispanics were generally considered white.

You have to adjust for age group to get a more accurate picture. The 2020 census shows 57.8% but a lot of the white population is much older. The younger generation is much more hispanic and asian than the older generations.

If you look at the under 18 demographic I don’t think there’s a white majority anymore.

Looking forward to a time where skin color matters as much as hair color. Can I get a map of where all the dirty blondes are?

And this is why America has struck down abortion laws and why ICE is targeting Latinos.

It’s all apart of the Project 2025 plan.

We could make a similar map of “pure breed” colonial stock Americans throughout the 1800s and the change would be far more drastic.

  8. Does this have anything to do with start capturing additional races? In 1930s all the charts I find only shows white vs black. The additional categories such as hispanic, other race are all show in recent decades.
However, for instance Chinese immigrants dates back to 19th century or there were many hispanics already in the states joined the USA in 19th century.

American needs to embrace the fact we’re a country of mutts, with a lot going on. I actually like people who are different, makes life interesting.

Had the great migration not happened and all else remained the same I wonder if Mississippi would be as close as Ohio in elections.

That’s the important part. NON HISPANIC.

There are so many white Latinos out there that if you counted them, half the map would go right back to dark blue almost everywhere.

this demographic change is what fuels american white supremacists and neo-nazis in their ideology, which is pretty fascinating to observe as an outsider. no wonder they’re enraged when they (feel like they) no longer recognize the country they grew up in, since they’re used to being the majority, seeing mostly people like them in media, and have enjoyed power for the longest time.

genuinely curious what will happen to the future of america (and to other western countries). white supremacist groups used to be fringe, but now, white supremacists and neo-nazis have power and influence, and their movement continues to gain momentum through social media. more and more people are getting radicalized. call me a pessimist all you want, but it’s definitely not a good sign for things to come
