Lol an absolute drop in the bucket compared to total funding. Who cares. We’re going to give them billions more anyway

  2. Don’t worry, the FSIN has no intention of paying the missing money back and plan on taking legal action.

Lets see what Chief Bobby Cameron thinks about the FNIS being expected to be accountable to anyone for anything.

    >“We fully believe that we don’t have to repay a dime, so that’s what we believe,” Cameron said at a news conference on Monday.
“This is a direct shot at all First Nations and organizations when they say you can’t spend your admin dollars on certain things,” Cameron said.
“We want to say we did it for the proper reasons, the right reasons, and we’ll continue to do it that way, as the Creator sees fit,” he said.

And where did the Creator see fit  these millions of dollars of „admin dollars“ go towards? New pickups for Bobby and his friends of course.

    >The letter also notes that fleet vehicles totalling $1.2 million were purchased using administrative fees and not under programs through which the purchases would be eligible.

He is 100% right. It seems in Canada things are only based on belief and not on actual fact. I live by the river? That means I **believe** all land within 1000km are mine. Do I need proof or logical sense? No, because I **believe** it.

Are there mass graveyards underneath every maple tree in the country? Yes, because I **believe** it, I don’t need actual evidence of it, isn’t my belief enough?

Facts are oppressors of the highest order, completely nullifying what I feel and believe.

The above is hyperbole of course, but it is within the ballpark of Indigenous attitudes of entitlement due to ‚beliefs‘

„CBC News has obtained documents outlining Federation of Sovereign Indigenous Nations (FSIN) Chief Bobby Cameron’s criminal record, which includes a 1993 conviction for break and enter and theft.“

Doesn’t want to pay it back? No problem, just withhold the next $28.7m that was supposed to go their way.

Deduct it from the next check. There will definitely be another check.

  7. Chief and council is corrupt as hell hope they lose and bring back that transparency act.
Every rez its the same thing.

  8. They constantly whine and cry about the government not honoring agreements… yet….

What’s it they say about glass houses again? When are we going to end this charade?
