      Nope. Here is how it will pan out.

      The SAVE act will pass after the GOP bypasses the filibuster.
      It will happen very close to the midterm election. This is by design.

      ICE will be strategically deployed to polling places to enforce the law.

      „Your passport looks fake to me, get lost“.

      „The photo on your passport picture does not look like you. Get lost“.

      Of course most MAGA areas won’t have any ICE deployed. So Jimmy Bob and Peggy Sue ain’t need no passport s.

      As soon as the oligarchs that installed trump are unhappy with him, he will be gone. Not before (unless the Grim Reaper comes through and does humanity a solid).

      I am super pessimistic by nature, but I do think support for him is waning. Will it ever come back up? Hard to say, but I would say that this is missing the point.

      It’s likely too late. We barely got Trump to leave office after his first term, and he’s got the support of all the worst people now. Trump in his second term is a different beast.

      The governed may not consent, but I’m not sure we’ll get out of this one this time.

      This like everything else means nothing until they impeach him.

      He and his cronies have looted the government.

      Blah blah blah. We’ve heard this god damned song and dance for years now. Unless something demonstrably happens, I’m not even gonna give it a passing thought.

      His formal presidency may be over, but it sounds like we will continue with the chaos. Hopefully we can rebuild this sand castle better than it was before Trump came in a knocked it all down.
