      There needs to be far more awareness about these batteries. They are destroying lives all over the place

      The UK government needs to stop pretending that electric bikes are a hobby/gadget and instead recognise them as the successor to the moped/125cc/CBT-license bracket, and licence them as such. That means safety standards, regular inspections, licensing etc.
