  1. There nothing highly protected in Dimona, it’s an impoverished workers’ town in the middle of the desert. It’s kilometers away from the reactor, if they wanted to aim at the reactor they would have.

  2. So does that mean that Israel also doesn’t have enough missiles to intercept Iran’s own strikes?

This month’s continued escalation seems be having Trump and bibi biting more than they can chew.

Samah Watad, a journalist based in central Israel, has spoken to Al Jazeera about the latest Iranian attacks on the country.

She said the Iranian attacks set off sirens across central Israel and that a missile launched from Lebanese territory struck a car in northern Israel, causing damage.

“This is the third notification in the last 30 minutes,” she said, adding that the pace of attacks is increasing and “becoming more intense” compared with earlier in the conflict.

The attacks on Arad and Dimona overnight left about 100 people wounded and caused significant damage, she added. The Israeli military has opened an investigation after the missiles were not intercepted by air defence systems.

There have been no confirmed reports of hits on nuclear facilities, although Watad noted that “there is heavy censorship” around sensitive sites and damage across the country.

  4. No one, even Israel, had a 100% success rate in interception. I know Iran needs Baghdad Bob levels of cope and propaganda right now, but Hizballah and Hamas have scored hits with the rockets made out of plumbing supplies. It happens sometimes.
