It is tough to have action taken on huge projects like this when there is not an immediate payoff. Private companies do not want to build and spend.

The huge issue from me as a private citizen is that governments are expected to play a huge roll in these projects with just the dubious payback of some jobs and hopefully tax or royalty revenue.

People get antsy at governments owning things but for me if they are going to take the risk and pay the cost they should get all the benefit. Nationalize crown corp that will reap all the benefits once built.

  2. If private companies want to pay for it, they might be able to get a pipeline to Vancouver(ish) area.

If they don’t, then they can fuck off.

  3. The government already owns one pipeline. How about we wait until we get a return on that investment. Should only take about 40-50 years to pay it off. Meanwhile, the have-nots keep starving while the never-have-enoughs keep complaining.

Private investment is limiting output. The market is deciding not to invest.

If they want public investment, bring back a Nationalized petro producer and do it ourselves, woth all the reord profits going to us.
