Does it mean our leaders just went with a war without thinking for a second ? we don’t have ammo, okay let’s shoot 🤡

  2. Getting these arguments out early so that bipartisan supplemental ‚defense‘ spending glides through.

  3. FancyEmployee8672 on

this is pretext to justify additional military funding — fuck that — call your reps and ask for healthcare instead — hell, ask for fucking refund checks before we spend another cent enabling these bastards to put our troops in harms way for no reason.

  4. I refuse to believe that we are low on ammo. We put billions into the military every year. This is just more grifting.

  5. Hey. F Trump. F your shortage nonsense. F your stupid evil wars bombing brown people. F Netanyahu and f anyone promoting further or maintaining our level of belicose industrial involvement. No more blood for oil. End this war now.

  6. You can tell whoever wrote the article is a maga cult member suckling off the mushroom. NO MORE MONEY FOR TRUMPS WAR !

  7. How could it possibly be spent?

This is just propaganda to get people to be ok with more military spending.

We spend more than any other country on our military every year, and its been a while since the last world war. So how do we blow our entire load in 3 weeks on a fight half way around the world that we’re just now getting our initial ground troops too?

And if somehow we didnt have any ammo why did the Trump admin get us into a war without first resolving that shit.

    Seriously fuck right off.

What? We can’t keep firing 3 to 4 million dollar patriot missiles at 20 to 50 thousand dollar drones? Not like the morons in charge of nearly 1 trillion dollars of our tax money could have seen it coming while observing it in Ukraine for years.

Edit to fix shahed cost. I quoted a guy on news radio without checking.

  9. We spend trillions on defense, and it all goes into consulting, bullshit manufacturer-only depot repairs, executive compensation and lobbied-for weapons that the services do not want, much less want to pay for. It is time that we demand a full review of every damn cent of Pentagon money and audits of all the contracts we have that seem incapable of keeping us armed. We are getting gouged more than any other country on Earth while defense companies‘ profits soar.

And it will all end up being a grift anyway, with one of Trump’s kids pulling commissions on „deals“ or some such bullet-worthy Trumpanzee shit.

  10. I want to know why we have an insane yearly defense budget and we do not have enough of a stockpile for like a decade of war? Seems stupid that after only a couple of weeks that we are running out of stuff.

Trump’s and republican’s incompetence is indistinguishable from high treason. So far they’ve alienated us from our allies, are trying to nuke nato, are tariffing everything and raising the government debt, they are harassing people in the streets with ICE, we are all more impoverished with inflation and their choice to decrease the value of the dollar, they’ve caused scientists and other educated people to flee and cause a brain drain, and now they are depleting our munitions, ammo, missiles, and interceptors? How is leaving America alone, poor, and defenseless not treason? All while lowering sanctions on our foes like Russia or Iran who we’re currently at war with.

I knew things were bad the minute Drunk Pete said there was an unlimited supply.

They spent our healthcare money on the military and didn’t buy enough ammo?

We have the most corrupt govt on earth. We need to fight up against the oligarchy.

Problem is how the funding is allocated, USA is known for being an absolute clusterfuck when it comes to how they budget for the military. So I believe it.

You can’t exactly stockpile if you’re overpaying for equipment by several times its value.
It’s how military contractors swindle the country and ensure that the budget never gets cut, while pocketing as much of the profits as possible.

It’s biting them in the ass though because they don’t have allies to soften the blow, by acting as a buffer with their own equipment.

All this combined with the inevitable brain drain, fear of escalation and talks of de-dollarization… things ain’t lookin‘ good for Uncle Sam.

I still fear that this expenditure of ammunition in the middle east is a shaping operation by one of our adversaries for a bigger war yet to commence 🙁

Guess Hegseth needs to pick himself up by his bootstraps and stop spending money on coffee.

One of the best things the Biden Administration do was sending our stockpile away to prevent the next administration’s ability of going on a full fledge tamper tantrum.

  18. J-the-Kidder on

Oh no it’s not. How do I know? Because Trump just told reporters we’ve got so much ammo.

When I heard him say that yesterday, I knew the situation was far worse than we think or is being reported. It was just a matter of time before someone said something about the reality of the situation.

  19. I was assured by the current President that while past administrations have let our ammo stocks run low he has fully replenished the military. Was this a misstatement? /s

  20. It just shows you everything is meant to weaken America. The real war has always been against America the intent is to implode the country. People have never been able to see far enough ahead to vote competently to be vigilant for democracy.

Great thing we’re using them in a war we absolutely don’t need to fight (and sending the rest to the Israelis for nothing in return), we don’t want to risk having them when we actually need them.

  22. It would be nothing short of irony to be the weapons manufacturing capital of the world, but short on ammo lol

  23. Massive_Dirt1577 on

The military industrial complex is a public welfare program that occasionally produces a weapon.

Consolidation of the various companies after the end of the Cold War meant none of them could be allowed to fail. So they use that leverage to avoid ever having to face a consequence.

Oh really? Man, who would have thought that within the first 4 days, using almost 8 years of tomahawks was a bad thing.

Last congressional budget approved 59 being made. We used over 400

Fun fact. The Chinese havent used ANY offensive or defensive weaponry besides training exercises.

I’m surprised he hasn’t blamed Biden for „leaving the cupboard bare.“ Remember how it was Obama’s fault the US couldn’t provide PPE at the beginning of the pandemic, even though he had been out of office for 3 years.

  26. How are they short of ammunition when they spend 1.5 Trillion dollars every year?
