Watching this, I was getting very anxious at how long it took to catch up to the Shahed. It made me wonder if STINGs can be equipped with a small solid rocket motor that can be fired to close the gap to the target, effectively conserving battery power for final approach. I was into model rocketry when I was younger and am into RC aircraft now, and know they can easily be combined. Wild Hornets is brilliant though, so I’m sure they’ve already considered that among a million other things…
That is one good, patient Hornet operator!! I kept losing sight of the Shahed as it moved through the clouds!!! I kept seeing dark spots in the clouds (breaks in clouds) and thought they were the Shahed.
