Gesteinsplaneten mit ultrakurzer Periode (USP), die ihre Sterne in weniger als einem Tag umkreisen, sind selten, insbesondere in der Nähe von Roten Zwergen. TOI-4552 b ist ein neu bestätigter erdgroßer Planet mit einer 0,3-tägigen Umlaufbahn um einen ruhigen Roten Zwerg M4,5V, der nur 90 Lichtjahre entfernt ist.
