On the evening of the spring equinox, an extremely thin crescent moon, only about 4% illuminated, drifted across the Parisian sky.
If you’re interested, you can find more of my work on [Instagram](https://www.instagram.com/tinmar_g/)
At the last minute, I searched for a spot far enough from the Eiffel Tower so the moon wouldn’t appear too small in comparison. Already running late, I suddenly realized I had forgotten my SD card… I had to rush back home, grab it, and hurry again before the alignment was gone.
Just before reaching my initial location, I noticed a better viewpoint with a clearer perspective on the tower. By then, the moon was already meeting the Eiffel Tower, leaving me barely one or two minutes to set everything up.
There were some trees in the frame, and at first I was worried they might spoil the shot, but in the end they added a natural frame to the scene, which I really like.
I used a telephoto lens, the Sigma 150-600mm, at around 250mm. With my APS-C camera, this gave an effective field of view equivalent to about 400mm.
