Anhui is also named after 2 cities and even Jiangsu, I think(jiangning?, Suzhou)

The two in green, Shanxi and Shandong, are named after the *same* mountain, which is odd as Shandong („East of Mountains“) is nowhere near the mountains, and Shanxi („West of Mountains“) seems to be in the middle of the mountains.

  3. The name of Jilin province is derived from Manchu word „girin ula“ which means „by the river“ (the river = Songhua River). It’s not „named after ancient literatures“ as this map suggested.

  4. jiangsu was named after jiangning and suzhou, anhui was named after anqing and huizhou, and fujian was named after fuzhou and jianzhou.

  5. How ancient was Xinjiang, I thought it was only from Ice Jecen from Manchu.
