      * Iran targeted but failed to hit Diego Garcia base
      * Diego Garcia is 4000km away from Iran.
      * This puts a good chunk of western Europe in range of Iranian missiles
      * The only EU country owning system that can intercept something like this is Germany ( Arrow 3 procured from Israel and deployed a few months ago)

      this is a natural result of Israel atrophying strong leadership in Iran

      iran is signalling they can or will strike Europe, which is only going to coalesce the EU to get off the sidelines and join in the war

      terrible long term ramifications for the ircg

      Yikes. I know they were unsuccessful but this range is well beyond their known missile limits

      Hmm, so Iran has secretly develop nuclear weapon like the US has said. You don’t develop 4000km ranged missiles and enriched uranium for shit and giggles.

      Imagine if they were given free rein and developed a nuclear weapon and a missile capable of reaching the United States directly… You are dealing with an extremist, ideologically driven Iranian regime that cannot be controlled.

      This is significant in part that it will make countries on the fence even more hesitant to join help out knowing they *could* be targeted.
