IT FINALLY HAPPENED GET IN HERE BOYS

Edit: direct hit to the weapons pylons as well, might even be a worse place to get hit then the nose (there’s armor there).

  2. Mad times, we’ve had decades of millions spent on aircraft, aircraft systems and missile and anti aircraft technology and we can now bring it all down with what is effectively a hobby racing drone and a grenade.

This video is a good illustration on why we haven’t seen more helicopter or even aircraft hits via FPV’s – they’re really that much faster than FPV’s.

Crazy hit, but tough to imagine how these type of hits could be expanded to a larger scale.

Wonder if in the future we’ll get ambushing FPV’s waiting for such scenarios.

  4. Wreckage Location: 48.152958, 36.991028 (6 km behind the frontline near Novopavlivka).

Most likely they were shot down during RTB after doing CAS to support Russian assault in the area.

    **Upd:**

The helicopter have flown 4kms after FPV impact

    **Upd2:**

Magyar claims that the crew managed to leave the helicopter, but was finished off by hit by his pilots (1st bat of 414th unmanned systems brigade “Birds of Magyar”). The footage circulating online shows allegedly shows burnt bodies of Russian Ka-52 pilots.

  5. We were just talking about this like a few weeks ago and here Ukraine goes accomplishing the thing we said they were to do (but were thus far unsuccessful).

    Amazingly talented flying.

  6. Wow. Future warfare is going to be scary AF. I wonder if the pilot even knew there were drones operating in the area or saw the drone before the hit.

  7. Lol This is a fucking semi mobile aerial Mine 😀

So basically drone maneuvered itself in the way of helly.

    Fucing incredible

  8. That fpv pilot mustve celebrated like crazy wow imagine being in the heli and seeing that thing come for you

Incredible. The stars aligned for that drone pilot to be in the precise path of the chopper – because other than hitting it directly on like this, it’s nearly impossible to hit a moving helicopter due to the downwash from the rotor blades.

I wonder if future drone advancements will include anti-air airburst drones, which require the pilot to only need to get near a helicopter to bring it down, rather than scoring a direct hit.

Absolutely crazy. First recorded drone kill vs. a helicopter (in flight)? One thing I can’t understand: why the hell did it turn? Or maybe there were two Ka-52s on the scene? I don’t see a cut in the video. I assume they saw it the first time, that one was close enough already. So why turn around? I mean, this isn’t a high-value target worth risking a helicopter for.
