      Absolutely horrible the province treated their people like this, and then tried to gaslight them??

      I wonder if she can civilly sue for the difference between what they paid her and what it was resold for?

      So somebody in the provincial government decided to take the land under the claim that they were building a highway there, and then they obviously proceeded to *not* build the highway and instead resold the land to a developer? That needs a full investigation because something’s very off here.

      Dont let Doug Ford hear about this. That assumes he hasnt thought of it yet. There has to be a con job in there. Any „decent“ government would simply reverse the deal.

      The one thing that really stands out besides lying about the reason they originally took the house is the process in which they resold the land. It it wasn’t a public sale how did the buyer know about the land and why didn’t they sell it publicly to get the best price for it?
