      slowly getting deeper into absurd territory here. a Nato member already planning to blow up runways in case the US invades says a lot about how badly trust has collapsed. a bit wild how “strategic partnership” ends up here when one side keeps treating allied territory like something it can just lay claim to

      The fact that they had an actual plan to destroy their own infrastructure just to keep the US out says everything. You don’t prepare to blow up your own runways unless you genuinely believe an invasion is on the table.

      Have none of you caught on that the Greenland idiocy was a well planned smokescreen for the buildup to the Iran war? This is extremely obvious, but you’ve bought it just as much as the crowd at davos

      Seems like every country should start thinking hard about asymmetrical warfare and what advantages they might have against the US army.

      Normal action when someone is invading your country. And also I would expect a counter offense as well. Hope they have a full plan. One never knows what the crazy cheeto is going to do.

      So none of you actually read the article ? The headline is that Denmark, Sweden, Norway, France and Germany were ready to go to war with the US over Greenland, not some blowup runway.

      pfffff…. we’re attacking Iran, having special forces in mexico according to him, taking control of venezuela, and we’re about to have regime change in Cuba. GREENLAND, don’t worry

      And that stops the USA how? This again comes down to Greenland can not defend itself period. Fabien tactics are not effective vs a modern military that doesnt care about civilian deaths.

      On the surface it may seem like a joke, but I’d assume there’s plans for every sort of fictional event like zombies, vampires, aliens, etc.

      So it’s not such a stretch that there’d be plans for allies as well.

      Well he’s busy in Iran and has been talking about Cuba lately so I think Greenland has fallen to the back burner
