      This is the big one here in Project 2025, if they succeed in cutting Medicare/Social Security, the economy for sure is going to crash. It’s pretty much the last step in collapsing the US Government.

      Just so everyone knows, dismantling/closing The Federal Reserve is also a goal.

      Trump has always been an election denier. He has always vilified voting. He has always started with lies, escalated to the courts, and ultimately embraced violent rhetoric.

      For nearly two decades, Trump has been lying about elections and threatening the democratic process.

      far too few people in positions of power have been willing to act. The result is that things have only gotten worse.

      Big Law has retreated from fighting Trump in court. The legacy media treats election denialism as normal and offers both-sides coverage. Corporate leaders no longer even pretend to care about democracy. The Republican Party is filled with his enablers.

      It didn’t have to be this way.

      The GOP playbook is so predictable: 1. Pass tax cuts that balloon the deficit. 2. Point at the deficit and scream „We’re broke!“ 3. Gut the only programs that keep seniors out of poverty. If you’re under 40 and voting for this, you’re basically voting to work until you drop dead at your desk.

      When it said amendment I thought it meant like an addition to a bill they’re already working on, as stuff like that happens a lot. 

      But no, they’re talking about a true Constitutional Amendment. Like, an addition to the Constitution specifically to make American lives worse under the guise of “balancing the budget,” which they would do by eliminating “non-critical” programs like SNAP and Medicare while keeping things like defense spending, obviously “critical,” untouched.

      The amendment also includes a provision where spending more on war only requires a majority vote where spending more on anything else requires 2/3 of the House.

      This Congress’s priorities are so out of whack it’s insane.

      I’m fine with balanced budgets if it includes 1) a proportional taxation on wealthy people 2) taxation of corporations who somehow skirt paying shit 3) we stop funding fucking unlimited wars and Israel. I mean we should all want that. But they want to balance it by fucking the non billionaires and only removing our safety nets.

      USAID

      Student loan forgiveness

      Medical research grants
