      Shoigu statement in fact not means UA strikes hard. They are but they are doing this for long time and shoigu never addmited it. Statement means something much more dangerous for russia. Its shows that Putin-Shoigu conflict is getting bigger (Sorry for english)

      Looks like Ukrainian units were able to take at least the first line of Russian fortifications. That is a good sign after the last offensive got stuck already there. Russia probably had to scrape together everything they had for another spring offensive and Ukraine now uses the gaps to take back what’s theirs.

      Looking at the helpless whining of the commentators, battlefield losses will raise more and more questions on Putin’s poor decision making, so fingers crossed Ukraine can strike back deeply and really take back some land this time.

      It seems huge, based on that map it looks like the location where they can go through the river network without bottle neck. If they can pierce there they are getting a foot up in the ass of the whole ruzzian defense in the region.

      I saw a report about 10 days ago that one of the higher unit commanders, battalion level I think, was killed coming into direct conflict with Ukrainian soldiers. It was reported that he was in the third line of defense and had come out to approach the ADVANCING Ukrainian soldiers who we thought were retreating RuZZianZ. He was shot and killed in the process.
      That probably means they are well past the first or even second line of defense in both thrusts and are more likely on the third line of defense. That’s where the commanders would stay to be cushy and safe with to access access banking communications where they will deposit the extortion $$ they take from the soldiers as they push the RuZZianZ meat waves forward.

      Whatever is happening it is significant enough that Putin cancelled (peace?) talks.

      I’m glad about the limited information coming from the Ukrainians. Action, not talk. The Russians are currently unable to get an accurate picture of the situation on the ground. They lack the detailed information that is so often shared by Ukrainian media. Official maps arrive with a delay of several days. The only reliable information is the outcry from Z- bloggers. Good.

      Both Deepstatemap and ISW maps don’t even confirm any Russian troops in the area of the claimed „counter offensive“.

      Most likely russians have just reported some areas „conquered“ without even reaching them and now claim it’s „Ukrainians retaking them“.
