Nothing’s been resolved. So it’s actually ‚17% for 3-5 years *so far.“*

  2. geez, the ripple effect this could do. 17% gone for 3 to 5 years is the kind of sentence that quietly ruins a whole lot of energy planners’ weekends.

  3. Oh, excellent! This is fine! No problems here. Just normal people doing normal things. No chance of escalation. This will be the worst of it now, everything is fine!

  4. So America is actively hurting the world for three to five years here. Fantastic.

Guess they would want their $400 million dollar plane back from trump.

  6. Wait…what about the amount caused by Israel’s attack yesterday? Im sure that affected Qatar as well, no? Why does this report make it sound like it was all on Iran?

I would bet that the prices will never go down. Whatever happens now, they will be pointing to this day and blaming the high costs of fuel on this for years. Just like how prices rose during Covid and then kept high whilst the weight and sizes of food products decreased, or how now companies will get the money back from the tariffs but the prices will stay the same and the consumer will pay it. Multiple record years for oil companies, endless bonus payouts for those high up in the companies and the consumer will get fucked again. All because an old billionaire who was on a high from using the military in Venezuela thought he could take out the leader of Iran and they would bow to America. The same guy who probably hasn’t filled up his own car at the fuel pumps for 40+ years.

I’d be laughing over these authoritarian slave countries being hurt financially, if it didn’t also hurt everyone else

  9. Man, whatever investment Putin made in Trump is the best deal in the history of humanity.

  10. Hey look, Venezuela is suddenly a profitable place to invest in infrastructure…

Heh. 80 years of progress on a global economy ruined by Trump in 3 weeks.

Oh well. Wouldn’t have happened if Trump didn’t start this war. Choke on your vote Trumpers!

  13. So is Trump and his admin having a lot of fun, at the expense of billions of people

At what point do the sane nations in the world take some action to protect their financial, political, agricultural and industrial stability from the side effects of this harebrained, delusional venture? We can shake our heads over the US Government being handed over to a geriatric puppet, we can shudder at genocidal uncontrolled „accidental“ killings of innocents, but the world, in it’s entirety, is now in a very dangerous place. We cannot rely on, or trust, the abilities of the leaders of the directly involved combatant countries to even control the spread of the damage, far less put the genie back in the bottle. It would be a sad irony if the triggers for the end game of human civilisation were pulled by creatures like Trump and Netanyahu, but perhaps they are what we deserve.

Yes but have you considered an old deranged pedo felt something in his bones.

  16. “Donald, Sheikh Tamin here.”

“Oh, hi Tamin. How’s it going?”

“We want our fucking plane back, you moron. That’s how it’s going.”

Iran has this „if im going down, ill take the world with me“ mentality.

  18. Anyone know why the Canadian indexes are going down when they clearly stand to really profit from all this?

Somebody should put a leash on Netanyahu.

This is just a taste. There are city sized refineries in the region that have been growing nonstop for decades, some are 100+ year old. They’re all very flammable and easy targets.

If everyone goes all out, $200 gas will become the baseline and world economy will lose an entire decade. Forget the economics, the human catastrophe in the region and beyond would be immeasurable. We don’t just extract oil for oil. There are 100s of byproducts we depend on daily.

Just burning up the fossil fuels for fun now are we? Not even using it for anything useful just putting that shit into the air for funsies

Lets hope this makes the EU wake up and embrace nuclear and renewables.

  22. It will be painful for years thanks to Donnie. Anyone who tries to twist this any other way is delusional.

Nobody wanted this war but him and Bibi, we need this shit to be put to bed and begin rebuilding.

What many don’t understand beyond stock markets and rich people outcry is that the poor will suffer more, those that barely get by will now have to struggle even more. It’s ridiculous!

  23. Just out curiosity, why in the fuck did Qatar seemingly not prepare for this contingency? Did they think the US would soak up missiles and drones for them? It seems crazy to think they would leave major infrastructure vulnerable when they live in a hot bed of unstable neighbors.

  24. I gotta fill up my car today because this shits about to jump to 10 bucks a gallon

US LNG facility owners licking their chops right now. There are a more coming online over the next few years.

  26. The gulf states must be furious with Trump and Israel. They spent hundreds of billions, if not trillions on America and now are left to dry. The US abandoned them when it comes to defense, because Israel is more important then them.
