Yep, if Iran starts attacking oil infrastructures directly all hell is going to break loose over there.

Don’t worry everyone Trumpadamus predicts everything and many people are saying he has a plan. It’s a bigly plan, a plan like nobody has seen before!

Stock traders hate this one trick… blowing shit up while the market’s open.

Why do they even need to warn about these strikes rather than just doing it?

  5. Why announce this?? Now everyone will just move their oil refineries

    Are they stupid??

  6. I thought the greatest, best, and most wonderful U.S. president in the history of mankind had said that Iran no longer possesses any missiles. Now I’m confused.

They want to drive up oil prices without pulling the saudi and emerati into the war

I hate the Iran regime but Trump went into this because bibi netanyahu said to, Trump has no plan.

And Irans plan of driving up oil prices and outlasting Trump seems to be working as well as any strategy could work against the USA. Iran is still getting bombed real bad, there are no winners here, but I haven’t heard how the USA plans to end this war.

Escorting ships through the straight would only get you 10% of normal traffic flow, that is not a good solution.

Securing the straight requires troops on the ground in Iran. Securing the nuclear material requires troops on the ground in Iran.

Realistically unless the USA wants to launch a ground invasion against a country of 90 million muslims they are going to have to negotiate a deal to end the war.

  8. Republican voters about to break their necks from the whiplash of celebrating high gas prices from dear leader

  9. I test drove an ev car yesterday. I was leaning towards not getting it as my car is paid off and I love it. I’m now rethinking that…

At this rate they will release the full uncensored Epstein files next week just to distract from the Iran war.

Thankfully this conflict is very complete, pretty much. I can feel it in my bones. Everything will be fine tomorrow and you start getting your $2000 DOGE checks and great new healthcare plan.

  13. The more i hear Trump speak the more I believe it’s the American people who needs a regime change at this point. Trump literally fucked the whole world economy and it’s only gonna get worse. Ffs

  14. It’s interesting the way this could tie with Putin words yesterday („EU warmongers being anti-Trump“ for declining support in their war). It’s like they’ve noticed already how important it is to capitalize with psychological warfare this geopolitical climax with the issues around the Potus, USA relationships with Europe/NATO, etc…

Imagine trying to gain allies when you have told everyone that you have „obliterated“ a nation’s military capacity, yet you, being the most powerful military force in planet Earth, can’t take care of the ships passing through Hormuz.

Imagine trying to convince others to join you in the fight, when this totally obliterated opponent is telling you and the world, that they do not seek a ceasefire and you are lying your ass off trying to portray them as surrendered.

Imagine trying to convince everyone that you have defeated an enemy that is now doing good old dick measurement contests and telling you, in advance, where they will hit their missiles because they trust themselves that even if you know, nothing much can be done. Missiles that apparently are scarce for them (90% attack rate decreased after two weeks of war, supposedly), that you would previously save for clinical and important attacks, leaving less room for error or interception.

This warning from today is very interesting. If it succeeds, it could ampiify the apparent weakness of the west (specifically of the US and it’s loss of grip on other nations). If it doesn’t, it would help tide the balance a bit towards the „so much winning“ narrative, but it wouldn’t be enough.

  15. Too many redditors defending a jihadist regime that have slaughtered tens of thousands of their own citizens. This is also a regime, btw, that used child soldiers in its war with Iraq in the 80s. Children as young as 12 years old sent out with guns to be killed.

Thank god America has sane and competent leadership to navigate us through this totally unavoidable and unforeseen crisis… 🙄

It’s fortunate that this happened after the coldest part of winter is over in the Northern Hemisphere. It’s unfortunate to think that these inflated prices will carry into next winter. If you think the price at the pump is bad… wait for the cost increase getting passed through from the combined cycle power plants and natural gas providers.

This is because SA and UAE also attacked Iran (allegedly).
The goal behind this is to ravage gulf states whose existence depends on oil, you destroy that and their countries also disappear.
Most likely goal is to pressure gulf states into kicking out US from the middle east

  19. TheMightyMisanthrope on

They are preparing a humiliating blow to the US.

They are warning what they are gonna do, if it happens, means that the USA couldn’t stop it.

    Very good political move.

Ah, textbook outcome of voting for a leader who has, in his own words during the presidential debate “*concepts* of a plan”

  21. It’s going to absolutely suck at a micro level as a gasoline consumer and at a macro level due to the plastics and other products related to petroleum but this may actually push people towards EVs and renewable products at a faster rate. Transition to renewables was always going to be painful but this one way to get people on board.

Netanyahu being investigated for corruption and starting a war to stay in power then killing the investigation on repeat has been something I’ve been seeing my entire life.

Nobody is defending the Iranian regime but there’s lots of people criticizing those who see this insane cycle repeat itself with enormous consequences for the rest of the world.

People need to learn how to focus and stop being distracted

  23. Can someone ELI5 why Iran seems to hate the gulf states? I thought they’d all be allies?
