    Diese 4411-Gebührenstruktur macht keinen Sinn


    Diese Gebührenstruktur ist absurd.

    Kurz geparkt, fast sofort wieder abgereist, Gesamtparkzeit betrug 2 Minuten. Die tatsächlichen Parkkosten? 0,09 €. Fair genug.

    Aber hier ist der Clou:

    – Parken: 0,09 €

    – Transaktionsgebühr: 0,45 €

    – Gesamt: 0,54 €

    Die Gebühr beträgt also das Fünffache der tatsächlichen Parkkosten.

    Ich verstehe, dass man mit Apps Geld verdienen muss, aber für kurze Aufenthalte macht dieses Preismodell keinen Sinn. Wer kurzzeitig parkt, wird mit einer Pauschalgebühr bestraft. Warum nicht stattdessen einen Prozentsatz berechnen? Oder zumindest ein „Prozentsatz ODER Pauschalgebühr (je nachdem, welcher Wert niedriger ist)“ verwenden?

    Im Moment fühlt es sich einfach so an, als würde man dafür bestraft, dass man die App so nutzt, wie sie genutzt werden soll.

      why are you paying for 2 minutes of parking? 

      I think the fee is a fixed rate and so it makes sense when you stay for an hour and you pay a few Euros park and $0.40 of fees.

      It’s not like the fee is hidden though. 

      As it’s fixed it will be less interesting for small durations and more interesting for longer durations.

      In many parking zones you can park for free if you only want to park for 15-20 minutes. 

      You can choose the free session in the app too. 

      It wasn’t possible in the zone where you parked ?

      It makes perfect sense though.

      They have a flat fee of 45 cents with a free parking session of 15-20 minutes, in which case you pay nothing. You have to specifically choose this though.

      They don’t profit off of the amount of time you are parked, they only make money through the transaction fee. In the end, they couldn’t care less if you parked for 2 minutes or 5 hours, they have to process the exact same thing.

      If the option is not available, then take it up with the city. So in the end it is either user error or the city should do something about short parking sessions.

      These days, there are short session parking spots next to some shops designed to allow you to stay for free for 15-30 min.
