I had heard this but it seemed so bizarre I assumed that someone had made it up. How would anyone think this was a good idea? Absolutely insane stuff.

Jezus, what kinda halfwit thought that was a good idea?

There are so many things you could have taken the piss out of, to get it so badly wrong you’d have to be an awful gobshite

The parade is about the culture of our beautiful country than some other countries issues..

    >An “Epstein Files” St Patrick’s Day float **featuring an apparent re-enactment of sexual assault** has been described as “an appalling failure of judgment”.

    Sorry…. what?!

I heard the liveline without having seen the video and, well they were not over exaggerating. According to a caller they were 16 year olds. Who in their right mind said yes son have at it.

    Edit spelling

  6. Some halfwits design a float that makes light of one of the biggest pedophiles cases in the world, they should be condemned

Was posted yesterday. Good few lads thinking that peoples outrage was ridiculous- it’s just harmless craic. Reading those comments were vile.

  8. I actually support this. The world shouldn’t forget and everyone should constantly be reminded we are ruled by evil predators. Because we are. I mean the Catholic church wasn’t burned to the ground all across Ireland which goes to show you these criminals get away with it.

I don’t think they were officially part of the parade and just joined in.

Video has circulated online showing the float being pulled by a tractor down the street with men chasing people dressed as girls alongside it.

On the float itself, a number of people were seen mimicking the rape of people dressed as girls on a mattress while another person dressed as a garda pulls one of them away and puts them in a mock cell.

Feckin weirdos. Parades are for kids there should be no sexualization at all in them. Whatever happened to common sense thinking of it being an extreme red flag for grooming to discuss or present sexual discussion around prepubescents…..

I find it funny in a kind of Frankie Boyle rant come to life kind of way.

That is ten degrees northwest of bloody disgusting. Making a celebration out of kidnapping and raping young girls. Why wasn’t that pulled before it was seen by the public?

    Mad shit.

Aside from having absolutely fuck all to do with Ireland or St Patrick, I simply couldn’t believe that the trailer had a dramatisation/mockup of a woman being sexually assaulted in the back of it by a fella? Has the moral compass of the country slipped so fuckin far??

Anyone associated with that needs to hang their heads in shame.

As someone who’s been assaulted by an Irish man in this country, it was absolutely horrible to see and just laments the attitude held by a lot here. Exactly why I’ll no longer go out drinking, and I know I’m not the only woman who feels this way.

  17. The irony here is that people who’ll complain about the backlash to this being wokeness gone mad are the same who’ll moan about grooming of kids etc.

Appalling is right. The fact that absolutely nobody has been charged or prosecuted is even worse, and that doesn’t ever make the headlines.
