    >“I was surprised,“ said Damian Meldgaard, who lives nearby. „I had to gather myself and think, ‚Did I really hear that?‘ And, then, I was enamored. I loved it. It made my day. It was absolutely what I needed to hear.“

Someone hacked the crosswalk signs to flash “Trump murders children” and other stuff. That’s some next level protest. Gotta respect the creativity lol.

Fun fact: if you ever see one of these digital sign machines on the side of the road, the pin is almost always 0000 or 1234.

  4. „Although the messages are too inappropriate to share, people in the community didn’t seem to mind it.“

Top notch reporting, CBS. If you’re going to cover this story, it’s your duty to report the actual facts. This is disgusting self censorship.

    This CBS article:

    > *Although the messages are too inappropriate to share*, people in the community didn’t seem to mind it.

    The Denverite:

    > *One of the signals injected messages like “[expletive] Trump” and “Trump murders children” into its usual announcements about the walk signal,* according to a video circulating on social media. The announcements were made in the device’s artificial voice.

  6. Finally…people are waking up and finding creative ways to show how evil and destructive Trump really is. I still can’t believe there’s 32% of the electorate that still supports him.

  7. I was reading an article just yesterday about how easy it is to do this and how you shouldn’t ever do this, but for some reason everything you need to do it, is accessible through a search engine and an app

  8. If you think the message is vulgar wait till you hear about this Trump guy

  9. A bad faith title from CBS. What a surprise.

Trump is vulgar. Everything he says and does is vulgar. Drawing attention to it is not.

What kind of journalism is this? See BS news strikes again!

    > Although the messages are too inappropriate to share…

YOU’RE THE FUCKING NEWS! You report on fucking mass shootings and wars and you’re drawing the line at naughty words?!

  12. In case anyone is wondering, the messages include, „Fuck Trump“ and „Trump murders children“.

  13. Its not vulgar if its true. He raped and murdered chidren. I am so devastayed he and his ilk arent being prosecuted and put away for life.

  14. I appreciate CBS making the public aware that these things are easy to hack!

Shame they had the censor the specific messages. Anyway, here’s some less vulgar news, like:

„the President blew up 150 children today“

„the President appears in the Epstein files millions of times“

„the President leaves Cuban hospitals without power following oil embargo“

No more vulgar that what comes out of Trump’s mouth on a daily basis, multiple times a day.

  16. > Denver crosswalks hacked to transmit **accurate** anti-Trump messaging

    FTFY, obeying-in-advance editors.

Is there such thing as a „vulgar“ message if it’s anti-Trump?

I am not convinced it is possible.

„people in the community didn’t seem to mind.“

Feel like the headline didn’t meet the people in the community

  19. jkbuilder88 on

To be clear, the messaging was telling facts. Trump is vulgar.

I’ve had it with these pearl clutchers who are upset about words when this guy is out there raping girls.
