It sucks they got this far. But I think it’s worth appreciating if they get to the point of calling themselves idiots. It doesn’t forgive all things, but at least they figured it out this much.

I love how that chortling, fat corporate fuck didn’t have the balls to ask even one follow-up question.

    Your corporate media.

Hmm…. northern PA enjoys closer psychic proximity to Alabama than to Manhattan.

  4. Ironically, that woman was less of an idiot than the other people he spoke to. They apparently still believe Cheeto’s bullshit.

But the other folks were still drinking the Kool Aid. I grew up around these people. They’re fucking morons. The lot of them.

  6. I get the schadenfreude, but the „apparently I’m an idiot“ phase is really important for pulling people out of a cult. It’s the first crack in the armor that gives an outsider a way in.

This is where you need to play a counselor role, help them understand how they were misled, how to identify it happening again, how to stop it from happening again, deconstruct the cultist persona, and invite them into a new social circle. If they are met with derision, rejection, and spite, that just sends them back into the cult.

It’s not about winning a single argument, it’s fighting a long war with the alternate-reality that they’re drowning in, pulling people out, and making sure they don’t fall back in.

„apperently I’m an idiot“ is usually quickly followed by „nobody tells me what to do, its not like I’m an idiot“

  8. The first step is always admitting to it, the next step is not being duped again.

Nah.  These sucks never learn.  They’ll vote for the next Republican and deny ever supporting Trump. Just like Bush.

I doubt the rest of the world will ever trust the United States again after witnessing Trump. Scary thing is is that he was elected by 77 million people who are just as bad as he is. Once Trump is gone, they’ll still be there and it could happen all over again. Fuck MAGA

    So lemme get this straight.

It wasn’t Trump’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Wasn’t Trumps failure to disclose his tax returns. Wasn’t the Four Seasons Total Landscaping debacle. Wasn’t the January 6 Capitol attack. Wasn’t the classified files taken to Florida. Wasn’t ICE. Wasn’t that Trump RAPES KIDS. Wasn’t Trump calling Vets losers. Wasn’t Trump banking 4 billion dollars off the Presidency. Wasn’t the E. Jean Carroll v. Donald J. Trump conviction. Wasn’t the tariffs that made EVERYTHING more expensive. Wasn’t the illegal aliens concentration camps. Wasn’t no affordable healthcare plan yet. Wasn’t Trump making a fuck ton of $$$ off hosting the G-7 at His Own Resort. Wasn’t the proposed annexation of Greenland. Wasn’t Trump leading the country to the longest government shutdown in American history. Wasn’t nepotism and other ethics abuses by Ivanka and Jared. Wasn’t Trump’s rogues gallery of former campaign & administration officials who have been convicted of committing crimes. Wasn’t Trumps Interference in DOJ Investigations. Wasn’t Venezuela. Wasn’t senior Trump administration officials using private email accounts and email servers to conduct government business. Etc. Etc. Etc. Etc. Etc. Etc.

What made this guy suddenly go hmmmm was the war with Iran.

Okay then. At least there was finally a line in the sand for this guy that made him question the cult leader.

I think it’s funny how the first three were supportive but sounded very apprehensive about it. “I…I support the war…it’s worth the higher gas prices…” sounding like they are trying to convince themselves that they are okay with it. Meanwhile the last one was way more colorful about her displeasure about it, not mincing words about it.

“Apparently” should win a gold medal in deadlifting for the work it did in that sentence.

  14. Express_Pound_1572 on

„apparently i’m an idiot“ is crazy dude. like, the warning signs weren’t just red flags, they were giant flashing neon billboards for nearly a decade. but hey, at least they finally got there i guess. better late than never? lmao.

Bro really voted for the chaos candidate three separate times and is now sitting there acting completely shocked that there is, in fact, chaos. you literally ordered the mystery box of foreign policy tbh, you can’t be mad when it explodes in your living room.

  16. Three out of the four they showed still supported him. Because they believe that Iran would nuke the US some day.

There should have been a follow up question, does it change your perspective to know that the Director of Counterterrorism resigned today because he said that there was in indication that Iran was an imminent threat to the United States?

It might not have moved the needle right now, but it might have started making them think.

I mean, I could have told you that 10 years ago and saved us all a bunch of time.

  18. Grandpa has dementia. It’s hard to believe someone can overlook his demeanor, and feel this man capable of governing the country. Lots have been forgotten if you can overlook the complete failure in handling COVID-19. A cluster-mess of disasters.

  19. I was optimistic with that headline and then I watched the video. These people just parrot whatever the fuck they’re told. We’re doomed.

  20. Popculturemofo on

Only took the sky high gas prices for her to figure it out. Wasn’t any of the other horrific things this country has had their grimy hands all over during either of these two reigns. The gas prices is what did it. I guess better late than never but damage done.

  21. I saw this coming back in 2015. We tried to warn you, but you wouldn’t listen.

  22. bognostrocleetus on

Please, if you realize that that you’re an idiot, in the future please please start listening to smart people. This anti-intellectualism is going to do us all. Just admit that you don’t know enough to have a serious opinion on things and just live and let live.

  23. EnvironmentalRock827 on

It’s not enough. They are probably still racist as fuck. For reference see my husbands sisters.

  24. First time shame on you second time shame on me third time youre just a braindead idiot

  25. DelayedIntentions on

She’s not waking up, she’s just mad that she has to pay more for gas. She only cares because it affects her.

  26. pseudonym82 on

Well as far as I’m concerned anyone who can reassess and admit they were wrong is not really an idiot. Even an ex MAGAt.
A true idiot is unwilling to change regardless of the facts laid out in front of them.
