Sounds familiar to northern Israelis who had to flee south starting October 8th, and thought they might have to again when Hezbollah recently started firing again.

EDIT: Guy below me thinks that the terror group Hezbollah is „Lebanon“. United Nations Security Council Resolution 1701 says the group can’t be south of the Litani river to prevent this kind of thing. UNIFIL and Lebanon were supposed to work together to remove them. They just… didn’t.

So, southern Lebanon has fired between 8,000 and 15,000 indiscriminate rockets from southern Lebanon into Israel.

This is despite a UN mandate a presence to remove Hezbollah.

This is what we call “a consequence” after being given *decades* to stop and resolve.

Why is nobody calling this invasion

I wish Hezbollah would lay down their weapons. For the sake of Lebanon.

Hezbollah is an illegitimate parallel government operating in Lebanon that serves the interests of the Iranian regime rather than the interests of the Lebanese people.

Hezbollah has no right to govern Lebanon. Only the Lebanese government has a right to govern Lebanon.

Seems like this is kind of a natural consequence for running an ongoing terror war for decades out of the territory… Unfortunate for people caught in the crossfire but, like what else is supposed to happen at this point?

Fucked up as it is. Glad to see the Lebanese Army and government finally doing stuff against hezbollah as slow as it is in doing so.
