    This is based on the United Nations‘ International Fact-Finding Mission for Venezuela. The outcome of the mission is that “The structures that have sustained persecution for years have not been dismantled, nor have State policies been announced to begin that process”. It seems like there are new instances of human rights violations and no change in terms of bringing those responsible for crimes against humanity to justice. There are some prisoner releases but even for those there are some reservations.

    Why would anybody expect that to change? Removing Maduro had nothing to do with helping the average Venezualan.
