If I don’t want that, I can’t read the article

The true shittyfication I guess. I won’t pay 5 pounds to read it as many of these media is just AI slob or bad journalism

I’m from before the „internet“. Chilled on BBS boards before. Saw it all grow. It had so much potential. Now it’s…..this.

Just like PC“s. I’ve been tinkering with it since I was a kid, the first ones came out just then. I knew windows from back to front after it’s introduction with windows 3.11. Nowadays I don’t even own a computer. Hate windows. Bleh

I don’t think the Norwegians are correct, here. Sure, you can make another internet. Yes, it can be not enshittified. But once anything on that new internet starts making good money, some private equity firm will look at what they are making, what they could be making from an enshittified version, and offer what it’s worth today plus 25% of that difference. As this amount is too high for the current owners to make, they sell, MBAs start the enshittification process, and eventually some country says we can have a new internet with nothing shitty, and the cycle continues.

  3. Norway’s actually been pretty consistent about this stuff, they’ve got actual regulations with teeth instead of just angry blog posts about it
