    They’re never gonna remember everyone

But at least they don’t play the walk off music during the in memoriam or split the screen with an ad

Ever since they snubbed Dennis Farina at the 2014 awards, I’ve called this snub being “Farina’d”.

they ’snubbed‘ luke perry, prob have qualifiers like movie actor or academy member

  4. Do we *have* to do this every Oscars?? Primarily TV actors don’t typically make the Oscars In Memorium.

These idiots have got to stop. If you’re more known for your TV work, you’re going to get the tribute on the Emmy’s and if you’re more known for movies, it’s the Oscars.

Why do they insist on being this stupid every year?

Isn’t the slideshow for people who died in 2025? Also, doesn’t this honor deceased Academy members?

  7. Eric Dane wasn’t a prevalent movie actor- he mostly did TV. He will be in the tribute at the next Emmys.

  8. Every year its the same thing. People raging over the In Memoriam segment about people they themselves barely thought about

  9. Every year people are left out and every year they complain. If I’m the Oscar’s I would put a deadline we will recognize people that die from this to this date and that’s it that way this stops happening.

Eric Dane was primarily a television actor. He didn’t belong in the Oscars In Memoriam segment. He belongs in the Emmys in Memoriam segment. Playing the bad guy in a Bad Boys movie doesn’t suddenly make you a movie actor.

  11. The Grammy’s notoriously leave out people every year like it’s a drinking game. Take a shot for each omission!

  12. Dane didn’t make the televised cut, but he is on the In Memoriam page at Oscars.or g along with others who missed the televised cut like Brigitte Bardot, James Van der Beek, Robert Carradine, James Ransone and others.

Save James Van Der Beak and Eric Dane for the Emmyz. Let the film people have their time to shine.

How many times do we have to say it’s members of the academy that have died not everybody who had ever worked in the industry who happened to die that year

What people should be raging about is the atrocious sound, particularly in this moment where Barbara’s Mic was barely audible. And she didn’t get a second mic until she sang.

I was briefly outraged when there was no David Lynch mention but then I remembered he died over a year ago. Time isn’t real anymore

The only weird thing about the segment was letting Streisand talk about how much Redford loved her for 5 minutes. Bizarre.

Not an academy member and had one shit movie last year as his most recent movie credit followed by a bunch of TV.

  19. I don’t know who Eric Dane is but holy fuck Babs is the queen of cringe. From an in memorium about Robert Redford that was actually all about herself to breaking into an off tune one of her old songs. Painful to watch all around

  20. I’m still pissed that the Oscars ignored Abe Vigoda’s death back in ‘16.
