Timmy boy shoulda kept his mouth shut, and they should’ve cast someone else instead of Mr MAGA-Wonderful dipshit.

  2. Even with how weak this year was the category chalamet wasn’t going to win even before the whole ballet thing.

Chalamet not winning this will live in infamy just like Leo not winning for Wolf of Wallstreet.

Michael B Jordan literally got handed a pitty Oscar. He wasn’t better than Leo. He wasn’t better than Ethan Hakwe. He wasn’t better than Jesse Plemons.

I’d say Sinners actually got LESS awards that it deserved!! But Best Actor was not one of them.

I thought if Marty was going to win for anything it would have been casting

  5. The biggest surprise is that we actually had a tie in one of the categories.

As for the rest, a few mild surprises (cinematography and casting are two that come to mind), but nothing too earth shattering.

I’m upset for Rose Byrne personally. I’m sorry, Jessie did well but Rose has the harder role and knocked it out of the park.

The Marty Supreme snub was BS. I’m happy for Coogler and PTA, but MS was an amazing film. Inspiring, strange, intense, beautiful. Speaking with my publicist hat on, he’s going to be the next Leo. Years from now he’ll get his flowers. But this year he turned in an honest and true Oscar-worthy performance. MBJ was amazing, and it was so close I know. But Sinners is an ensemble film at the end of the day. Timmy was Marty Supreme. Separate the art from the artist. Separate Timmy from Safdie. And don’t get so offended when someone makes the truly valid point that cinema must be protected at all costs less it go the way of opera, ballet, and theatre. When’s the last time any of you actually attended these events? Be real with yourself.

But I thought Tommy Chevrolet was making some of the most important films of our generation???

Michael B. Jordan winning instead of Timmy is not a surprise. And I’m glad he won. Timmy didn’t deserve it.

One really great movie wins which obviously means another has to have been snubbed…that’s apparently how that math works
