Ah lads fuck off – she is the pride of ireland and threw in the cupla focal. We watched it live (from Boston) and were exhausted – imagine all the months of this shite at awards and you finally win the gold medal – give her a break. She’s amazing

She lives there so I think we shall have to make an exception in this instance.

First thing I thought. Not great. Will I sleep tonight yes. Will Ireland socials lose their shit?! Totally.

In fairness she won it playing an English mother, Shakespeare’s wife. We’ve done the English for once.

Yeah I think she was referencing the production which was a Uk production

Tbh I was actually disappointed she did that. Lovely speech otherwise though.

Not brilliant and I think she realised she’d made a mistake (she could so easily have said ‚it’s Mother’s Day across the water‘ or something) which was why she signed off in Irish.

      Well, this is a thinker.

I like her stance on cats.

Not too keen on that UK slip.

I was quite disappointed too when she said the UK instead of Ireland but how and ever 🤷‍♀️
Don’t think she mentioned paul mescal either did she?

    10. Ireland’s housing crisis will never be solved as long as the Brits continue to live in our heads rent free.

    11. Christ lads, she is the mother of a British child living in the uk, married to an English fella. Like it or not; the UK is part of her life now. I adore Jessie but her speeches have always been a bit cringe; what matters is her acting, and she’s phenomenal.
