      They knocked down 2 houses in my street, in Swieqi, both within 30 meters of my place to construct blocks of flats. This street is basically 50/50 blocks of apartments and Massionettes.

      This is Malta now.

      There used to be a scam using junk mail in my hometown.
      They place an ad like this in a mailbox to check who might be away from home so they can sack the place if the ad is still in the mailbox after a few days.

      Just remembered this because of this post, not implying anything.

      Building property is the major way to launder money. These developers are ready to put forward the money to build it for you and get paid in flats. There they only pay 8% property tax and not 35% income tax
