      Maybe, but it seems like a bad choice for the religious council to choose someone who is not able to make at least one short public appearance. I guess he could get surgery and then be smuggled back it.

      Sure, the IRGC is currently running their defense plans, but it will eventually be an issue for the religious theocracy side if he physically cannot be in Iran.

      Seems like he’d have to be smuggled back in eventually. That grip on power won’t last in exile. I mean, the Shah’s son has been trying to will into existence a monarchy with him at the head for years, but he simply can’t go to Iran.

      Given that even Trump hasn’t claimed he ran away suggests this intel is very loose at best.

      He has basically fled the country. Not an impressive leadership trait to run while your country is in conflict. Iran has plenty of hospitals. If he has fled, he could still do a public message and speak to his countrymen. It’s not like Israel is going to target him in Russia.
