Serious question…

Compared to the “chaos” the Persians were in prior to being occupied by the Arabs, Mongols, and Macedonians, is Iran even comparably that *bad* now to fall victim to a ground invasion?

Because, and correct me if I’m wrong, but Iran has really only fallen when they themselves were in shambles.
