„The map shows largest (plurality) faith among Dharmic religions only, not the overall religious majority“

It means it excludes Islam, Christianity, which are Abrahamic?

Sikhism should not be called Dharmic because that label lumps it in with religious systems it is not the same as. Sikhism is a distinct faith with its own revelation, its own scripture, its own Gurus, and its own theology centered on Ik Oankar. It does not derive its authority from the Vedas, and it rejects many beliefs and practices commonly associated with other Indian religions, including ritualism, caste based religion, and the idea that all Indian born traditions belong under one spiritual umbrella. Just because Sikhism originated in India or shares some vocabulary with nearby traditions does not mean it should be grouped with them. Geography and borrowed terms do not erase religious uniqueness. Calling Sikhism Dharmic can blur its separate identity and make it seem like a branch of a broader tradition when Sikhs see it as its own complete path.

European Russia is NOT „Asia“, it is 45% of Europe.

Also the small part of Turkey in Europe is not Asia.

Egyptian Sinai peninsula, however, IS Asia (and that makes Egypt bi-continental).

      So the map is bullshit.

This is definitely inaccurate for practically all of Central Asia. Where are the stats from? There are none available that give this level of insight into the religion.

Sikhs are the second-largest religious group in Afghanistan. Even if almost all have left, some still remain in Kabul and Nangarhar. There is no known Hindu presence in Afghanistan anymore.

Buddhism is nonexistent in former Soviet Central Asia, but almost every city with a university has anywhere from hundreds to thousands of South Asian students, many of whom are Hindus. I live in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan and we have some Hindu festivals that take place in Indian restaurants. There are no Buddhist events whatsoever.

sikhism is a sarbattic religion, does not believe in dharmic v abrahamic. we don’t consider anyone „un-dharmic“ or in some „outgroup.“ keep your ingroup-outgroup bs to yourselves and don’t project it on others.

y’all don’t even know what dharmic means. -ic itself is not a hindu suffix, it’s english.

the word sanatan/ timeless too is taken from buddhism.

keep us out of this crap.
