      Everyone has been expecting it for years so no it would not be an earthquake, just a disappointment. Anyway I do not see a far right municipality succeed where previous majorities failed so they would be out by the next election cycle.

      Of course they are, as is the whole of France. The mass media has been enabling the far-right and smearing the left for years on end, because, surprise surprise, the most prominent mass media belong to far-right billionaires. Who could have seen this coming ?

      I hope the youngsters will not sleep during the elections. Not yesterday, today or tomorrow : we will not accept fascists. Especially when the far-right candidate has been accused of misuse of public funds. For a party which requests law and order, it’s not great.

      I won’t deep more into his program because it’s even worse.

      You may have ONE and ONLY EVER one of these two options

      1. A capitalist economy based on infinite growth at all cost which is limiting how many kids people can have because they literally cannot afford it.
      2. Zero immigrants

      If you want option two, you have to abandon capitalism, simple as that.

      The Centre-left coalition is ahead In the polls, and should won the city since the far right do not have a lot of reserve for the second turn. The situation is a bit scary though.

      You people really don’t realise Trump is the symptom, do you? It’s the entire political, economic and social far right establishment from politics to business to media that is the bigger issue and making the United States death spiral.

      It’s like watching a a neighbourhood die of Ebola and then going, “We’re still going to that town. We’ll be fine.”

      I guess they won’t be able to use the classic „They vote for the far right in villages and small towns where there are no immigrants at all“.
