Potatoes look yummy! But I have to admit I have never had potatoes for breakfast 🙂

  2. My normal breakfast is considerably simpler than this. What is a complicated breakfast for you?

How you cook without oil on weekdays? I found out this is part of Orthodox fasting rules and I’ve been wondering how people deal with that.

  4. As a romanian who never did and will never do lent, let me tell you something about what people really eat when they observe it.

They replace all of their protein from dairy and meat with very processed foods made for lent.

Yeah, having potatoes and some ajvar is good, but trust me, the lent shit that’s in supermarkets for people who observe it is abhorrent in terms of nutritional values.

Most people tend to eat more Fibre during lent because of the increased intake of veggies, but they will also have almost no intake of protein for 40 days.

They always say that this is a cleanse for the body and soul and it makes them feel healtier, but a chicken breast would be far more nutritious than the hyper processed this that’s advertised as lent friendly.

I don’t think observing lent is wrong whatsoever, but having most of your calorie intake be processed carbs and vegetable fats is not a cleanse.

Most people would be better off by not doing it altogether and having a balanced diet.

Just wanna say this because some comments here kinda like what they see and wanted to bring a different perspective.
