      It’s strange that I only associate alligators with Florida… When Louisiana is the real champion

      As someone from Washington State, we need to drop the old and outdated Alligator Government and move to a better, Slug based Government.

      The alligators in New York sewers don’t count? I could swear they found one or two in Wisconsin recently too.

      Seeing as how alligators are native to NC, and I’ve seen some in ponds near the coast there’s no way we would have the same number of representatives as, say, Montana. I’m assuming that most of the states with “1” rep are because they’re required to have at least one rep and have either zero alligators or just a few in captivity. Whereas NC has an actual wild alligator population.

      Despite knowing about Congaree and understanding logically that it’s just an extension of the southern swamps of Florida, it never occurred to me that Georgia would also have quite a lot of alligators.
